WCEO / ASPIRE DIRECTORY TERMS OF USE & PRIVACY NOTICE

Effective Date: September 2026
By accessing, submitting information to, or using the WCEO / ASPIRE Business Directory (the “Directory”), you agree to these Terms of Use and Privacy Notice. The Women’s Center for Economic Opportunity (“WCEO”), ASPIRE, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, affiliates, and board members (collectively, the “Released Parties”) provide the Directory as an informational and promotional service only. Listings, statements, offers, links, images, and other content are supplied by participating businesses or third parties and are not verified, endorsed, guaranteed, or warranted by the Released Parties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from or related to your use of the Directory; any listing, transaction, communication, service, product, or relationship involving a listed business; or any inaccurate, incomplete, infringing, unlawful, or misleading submitted content. Users must independently evaluate businesses and services; the Directory does not provide legal, financial, professional, safety, or other advice.

By submitting or making available any business information, profile details, contact information, logo, photograph, video, testimonial, name, likeness, image, or other content (“Submitted Content”), you represent that it is accurate, lawful, non-infringing, and that you have all rights, permissions, and authority necessary to submit it and grant the rights below. You grant WCEO and ASPIRE a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, adapt, crop, format, promote, analyze, and otherwise use Submitted Content and Directory-related data in connection with operating, improving, marketing, reporting on, fundraising for, and promoting the Directory and the missions of WCEO and ASPIRE, in any media now known or later developed. You also authorize WCEO and ASPIRE to use your and, where authorized by you, your business’s name, logo, likeness, image, voice, and biographical information for those purposes without further approval or compensation. WCEO and ASPIRE may edit for format or clarity, decline, suspend, remove, or reclassify any listing or content at any time, at their sole discretion, without liability.

We collect information you provide, including account, business, contact, payment-related, and submitted listing information, as well as information automatically generated through use of the website, such as device, browser, IP address, cookie, analytics, and usage data. We use this information to administer memberships and listings, publish the information you choose to make public, process transactions, communicate with you, provide support, measure and improve the Directory, prevent fraud or misuse, comply with law, and advance WCEO’s and ASPIRE’s mission-related communications and fundraising activities. We may share information with service providers that support these functions; with affiliates, program partners, sponsors, or funders as reasonably necessary for aggregated reporting, program delivery, or promotion; when you direct or consent to sharing; and when required or permitted by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the Directory. We do not promise that information you elect to publish in the Directory will remain private, and public content may be copied, indexed, or shared by others outside our control.

The Directory and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or security. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for any damages arising from interruptions, security incidents, data loss, external links, third-party conduct, or use of or reliance on the Directory. You may request correction, update, or removal of your listing or personal information by contacting [insert contact email], subject to legal, operational, contractual, archival, and backup-retention requirements. These terms may be updated from time to time by posting a revised version on the website; continued use after posting constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by Ohio law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, unless applicable law requires otherwise. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Prohibited Commercial, Bulk, and Abusive Use. The Directory is provided solely to help users identify and connect with businesses for legitimate individual, community, and business-purpose inquiries. Without WCEO’s and ASPIRE’s prior written permission, no person or organization may copy, download, scrape, harvest, extract, index, aggregate, republish, sell, license, rent, distribute, or otherwise use Directory content, contact information, listings, images, or data—whether manually or through bots, crawlers, scripts, AI tools, APIs, automated systems, or other means—for commercial solicitation, lead generation, marketing lists, recruiting, data brokerage, competitive intelligence, training data, or any other mass or third-party use. Users may not send unsolicited, bulk, repeated, deceptive, harassing, or spam communications to listed businesses or individuals; use Directory information to create or enhance another directory or database; interfere with site functionality; evade access controls; or imply an endorsement, affiliation, or partnership with WCEO, ASPIRE, or any listed business. WCEO and ASPIRE may investigate suspected violations and, in their sole discretion, block access, remove content, suspend accounts, pursue available legal remedies, and cooperate with law enforcement or affected parties. Commercial-email communications are also subject to applicable anti-spam requirements, including the federal CAN-SPAM Act.
